Asher (they/them) is a facilitator, educator, adventurer, innovator, truth-teller, seeker, and lover of the world with a professional background in outdoor experiential education, youth development, organizational development, leadership coaching and social work. They hold a Master’s Degree in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work.
Asher is passionate about justice and equity in outdoor spaces, and deeply believes in the role a relationship of reciprocity between land and people has in fostering individual and collective liberation.
They also offer individual and relationship coaching, informed by their clinical training, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness practice, restorative justice, and nature-based approaches.
When they are not facilitating with The Avarna Group, you can find Asher reading books, hiking in the Oaks and the Redwoods, dancing to electronic music, being with loved ones, gardening, and cultivating playfulness as a pathway towards radical joy and liberation. They reside on the unceded lands of the Lisjan Ohlone, also known as Emeryville, CA.
