This course has 4 lessons to support participants in grappling with the intersecting histories of the environmental and climate movement and marginalized communities in the U.S (6 hours of content + another 4 for discussion). In addition to an introductory video, the course has lessons on:
- Ideologies and frameworks that underpin intersecting histories of people and the environmental/climate movement;
- Vignettes demonstrating the connection between these ideologies and histories of people and environmental/climate movement;
- Ongoing and current impacts of this history on marginalized communities and the work of environmental/climate organizations; and
- Case studies to support decolonization and radical reimagination of environmental/climate work in service of equity and justice.
