2018 Summit Organizer for
People of the Global Majority in the Outdoors, Nature, and the Environment (PGM ONE) Summit

Summit Overview:
The PGM ONE summit is a gathering for people of the global majority who are leading the racial equity and inclusion movement in the outdoor and environmental sectors. We use “people of the global majority” (PGM) as a stand-in for “people of color” (POC), since people of color represent over 80% of the world’s population. More importantly, this wording calls out the demographic inaccuracy of the euphemism “minority” and feels more empowering for some people.
