This course has 4 lessons (for a total of 3 hours of content) to support participants in grappling with the intersecting histories of the environmental and climate movement and marginalized communities in the U.S. In addition to an introductory video, the course has lessons on:

  • Ideologies and frameworks that underpin intersecting histories of people and the environmental/climate movement;
  • Vignettes demonstrating the connection between these ideologies and histories of people and environmental/climate movement;
  • Ongoing and current impacts of this history on marginalized communities and the work of environmental/climate organizations; and
  • Case studies to support decolonization and radical reimagination of environmental/climate work in service of equity and justice.
